Driveways and Patio Cleaning
Block paved drives are built to last for years, they are hard wearing and look great for a few years,
frustratingly sunlight and moisture can encourage growth in the block voids and a thick layer of
oxidation to form on the surface. Williams External Cleaners will use our Industrial, high power jet
wash or high temperature steam machine linked to a rotating surface area cleaner to efficiently
remove most of this. Whenever possible we try to do this without bleach type detergents
preferring a more mild degreaser instead. Some customers opt for a follow up application of anti-
growth sand to prevent this form returning. The sand is applied 24-48 hours after the area has
been washed to ensure that the voids are dry and moisture free, this is swept across the drive in
different directions to ensure that all voids are properly filled.
An application of exterior grade clear driveway sealant can leave the area looking almost like new
and ready to endure a few more seasons of changeable British weather. Sealant application
usually takes place at the same time as sanding and will usually require 12-24 hours drying time
before heavy footfall or vehicle access.
